Eligibility Criteria for B Tech (Biotechnology) at LPU

To be eligible for admission to the B Tech (Biotechnology) program at LPU, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% aggregate marks. The subjects should include Physics, Chemistry, English, and either Mathematics, Biology, or Biotechnology.
• LPUNEST Exam: Candidates must qualify for the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) exam. The exam can be taken either online (remotely proctored) or at a test center, depending on the candidate’s preference.
• Relaxation: Candidates from North-East states, Sikkim, Defence Personnel, or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria.

Note: If a candidate has not studied English as a subject in 10+2, the condition may be waived if the candidate has studied in the English medium in their qualifying examination or has an equivalent subject.
