IMS Unison University, a constituent of the Unison Education and Research Foundation, was established in 1996 as the Institute of Management Studies. In 2013, the Government of Uttarakhand approved its establishment as a State Private University under the IMS Unison University Uttarakhand Act No. 13 of 2013.

With more than 29 years of academic excellence, the University has emerged as a leading institution offering industry-oriented education, strong research culture, global exposure, and consistent placement outcomes.

Admission Process

Admission to IMS Unison University is conducted through an online application process. Candidates must fill out the application form available on the University website and submit required academic documents.

Selection is based on merit in the qualifying examination. For certain programs, entrance tests, personal interviews, or national-level exam scores may be considered as per University guidelines.

Placements and Career Opportunities

IMS Unison University has a dedicated Corporate Resource Centre that manages training, internships, and placements.

During the 2024–25 placement cycle, 204 companies visited the campus. Final placement offers were made by 121 companies, while 83 companies offered internship opportunities.

Graduates are placed across sectors such as management, finance, law, IT, media, hospitality, consulting, education, and government services.

The campus is equipped with modern classrooms, advanced computer laboratories, and campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity. Computer labs are supported by high-speed servers and licensed software through Microsoft Campus Agreement.

The Language Lab is equipped with WORDSWORTH software to improve communication skills and language proficiency.

Hostel and Residential Facilities

Separate on-campus hostels are available for boys and girls. Hostels provide a safe, inclusive, and comfortable environment with Wi-Fi, dining facilities, gymnasium, indoor sports, computer lab, and recreational areas.

The campus has a well-equipped infirmary with a doctor, nursing staff, and a 24-hour ambulance service. Transportation facilities cover major areas of Dehradun. The University maintains strict discipline, security surveillance, and a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in accordance with UGC guidelines.

Approvals and Recognition

IMS Unison University is established and approved by the State Government of Uttarakhand. The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Law programs are approved by the Bar Council of India. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. AICTE approval is not required for State Private Universities as per applicable regulations.
