Eligibility for B.Tech. (CE) Program at LPU

To be eligible for the B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) [Lateral Entry] program at Lovely Professional University, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) of 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry or an equivalent qualification, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*.

2. Pass with 90% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) of 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry or an equivalent qualification.

There is a 5% relaxation in eligibility for candidates from North-East states and Sikkim, Defence Personnel, and their Dependents, or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a mandatory exam for admission to this program. The LPUNEST exam can be taken either online (remotely proctored from home) or at a test center, depending on available resources and the candidate’s preference.
