ACCET

Established in 1952, ACCET is located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. It is a government institution recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 
ACCET is affiliated with Anna University. It has obtained the 151st rank in the NIRF ranking 2023 among Overall Indian Universities, demonstrating its excellence in the education field. Furthermore, the university has achieved NIRF rankings in several other disciplines highlighting its academic excellence.

The institute offers 16 programmes such as B.Tech/BE at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate levels. These ACCET courses help students gain expertise in various fields like engineering, science, and research. Some of the major recruiters who participated in ACCET placements are Larsen and Toubro, HCL, Hexaware, Saint Gobain, Schneider Electric, Titan Company, Wipro etc.

ACCET Admission is offered on the basis of students' performance in entrance exams such as TNEA and TANCET. Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi is spread over a sprawling area of 144 acres with modern facilities. Some of the highlights of ACCET infrastructure include classrooms, a hostel, a library, sports and medical facilities, a post office, a college hall, a canteen, etc., for holistic development.

ACCET, Karikudi offers accommodation facilities to males and females separately. It offers various types of rooms with the required amenities. There are a total of 07 boys' hostels and 06 girls'hostels available on the campus.
