Bastar University

Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, commonly known as Bastar University, was established in 2008 by the Government of Chhattisgarh. Located in Jagdalpur, the university serves as a pivotal center for higher education in the Bastar region, which is predominantly inhabited by tribal communities. The university is named in honor of Shaheed Mahendra Karma, a prominent tribal leader and social reformer.
