Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences

Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences was established in the year 2005. It is an autonomous institute under the Govt of Karnataka. The college is affliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and is approved by the Medical Council of India. BIMS Belgaum provides comprehensive relief and care to citizens as well as promote research oriented studies in medical students. 

BIOMS Belgaum courses include Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the science of Diagnosis, Treatment, Rehabilitation and Research in human ailments. The curriculum is based on Medicine and Surgical disciplines and educates its students using practical as well as theoretical practices. The college has so many labs and research facilities which the students can use for their course work as well as research.

The institute campus area is 25 acres in the premisis of The District Hospital Belgaum. The college has well trained and qualified teaching staff who have great knowledge in the field of education. BIMS Belgaum has about 23 deparments teaching Medical, Paramedical as well as Nursing courses. The college gives importance to fulfilment of its objective which is to provide good medical education to the future doctors.

BIOMS Belgaum admissionshappen through the Karnataka Examination Authority. The seats are alloted as per the National and State examinations. BIMS admissions follow the rules laid out by the Karnataka Government and the affiliating university. 

• The students are selected from Karnataka-CET exams-85% and All India exams-15%.
• The KEA seeks the information from the NEET authority and allocates candidates to this college.
• The admissions are as per the guidelines issued by the Karnataka Examination Authority.

BIMS Belgaum Hostel Facilities:

Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences hostelsprovide separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostels are within the campus with a total layout of 6270 Sq.mtr. 

• The BIMS Hostels provide accomodation to over 700+ boys and girls.
• The rooms are shared rooms with 2 in a room.
• Mess and canteen facilities are available within the hostels.
• Playgrounds and Gym facilities are available for all round development of the students.
• The hostels are managed by the hostel wardens with the help of assistant wardens.
