BFUHS was established in July 1998 in Punjab. The university continuously works to achieve its mission of creating an academic, intellectual, and physical environment conducive to the free flow of ideas and exchange of information between university faculties and other Universities in the Health Sciences field, thereby creating a road to the world for the health professionals, health managers, biomedical, health planners, and social scientists and educators in the field of health sciences.

The university is established in memory of Sufi Saint Baba Farid by the Punjab Govt. A 5th of its kind in India, 1st in Northern India university is established. Due to the shortage of health professionals, the need was imminent. University is committed to providing people-oriented need-based education & training programs for health professionals.

BFUHS Admission

The BFUHS admission is initiated by filling up an online application on the official website. An entrance test is taken for admission. The entrance test is conducted offline by the university.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Admission 2024 for courses like B.Sc, MBBS, is based on  is based on the entrance exam. Admissions are based on the scores of the entrance test followed by an interview conducted by the university. For both undergraduate and postgraduate programs admission are based on the merit of the qualifying examination followed by a counselling process.

BFUHS Eligibility Criteria

B.Pharm Eligibility Criteria

• The student must have passed the SSC examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology and has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) 

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s in Science with an aggregate of 50% marks in the desired field from a recognized university.

Certificate Courses Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 from any stream from a recognized board.

BFUHS MBBS cut off for 2020 was 6203, rank wise. BFUHS MD cut off for 2020 was 2,789, rank wise, for round 1.
