College of Engineering Jagtial

Established in 2007, the College of Engineering, Jagtial (JNTUHCEJ) is a constituent, autonomous college under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).
The college is approved by AICTE and recognized under Sections 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act. It holds NBA accreditation for core undergraduate programs including Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE).
It has also been honored with the Engineering Educators Award by the University of Bradford (UK) in 2014.

 Academic Programs & Admissions

• Undergraduate (B.Tech): Offers specializations in EEE, ECE, CSE, IT, and ME, with an intake of approximately 60 students per branch through TS-EAMCET. Lateral entry is available through ECET.

• Postgraduate (M.Tech): Offers five programs in EEE, ME, ECE, CSE, and IT, each with 18 seats, admissions through TS-PGECET.

• The college boasts highly qualified faculty, with nearly 90% holding Ph.D. degrees.

• It promotes research culture with active postgraduate programs, technical workshops (including AI and Python), and events like CreScenE’25.

 Campus & Student Life

• Features include fully-equipped labs, 24x7 computer labs, dedicated coding lab, modern seminar halls, 250-seat auditorium, and a central library.

• Residential facilities include two hostels each for boys and girls with a capacity of around 450 each, biometric security, on-campus medical care, CCTV surveillance, bank & ATM, gym, sports grounds, solar lighting, and purified drinking water systems.

• Students benefit from co-curricular opportunities through NSS, Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), R&D Cell, departmental clubs, and NPTEL local chapter activities.

 Placements & Achievements

• Known for consistent placement performance with companies offering packages up to ₹6.5 LPA. In some cases, CSE students have secured packages up to ₹18 LPA.

• The institution has received NAAC A+ grade, ISO certification, and signed MoUs with reputed institutions for academic and research collaboration.
