Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, commonly known as RPGMC Tanda, is a prominent government medical institution located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in 1996, the college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

History

The foundation of RPGMC Tanda traces back to 1958 when a TB sanatorium was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The medical college was established later to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the region.

Undergraduate (UG)

• MBBS: The college offers a 5.5-year MBBS program, including a one-year compulsory internship. The annual intake is 120 students, with admissions based on NEET UG scores and subsequent state-level counseling.

Postgraduate (PG)

• MD/MS: RPGMC Tanda offers various MD and MS programs in specialties such as General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and more. Admissions are conducted through NEET PG scores and counseling.

• DNB: Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses are also available in select specialties.
