Library:
The library of GDC Kathua was established in the year 1962 with a mission to provide comprehensive information to fulfill the needs of the students and the faculty menbers of the college. The library regularly updates its resources so that the readers contribute the society through the persuit of education, teaching and learning at the highest level of excellence.Library has an reading room and a reference room. At present the library contains 36,830 books (General) and 976 books (Technical). The library also has an UGC funded textbook section called Book Bank which has an collection of 8,202 books. Books from this section are issued for whole of the session to the poor and deserving students.

Hostel:
The college has two Hostels, one for boys and one for girls. After the commencement of class work the applications are invited from desirous students. Thereafter final selection is made by the Hostel Committee. Merit and Distance are the major considerations for allotting seats in hostels.                                                           

Canteen:
The college has a canteen run by a contractor to provide quality eatables to students. The Canteen committee monitors the quality and rates of the eatables. Junk food and cold drinks are not served in the canteen.

College Dispensary:
The college has a dispensary of its own which is managed by a whole time trained Medical Assistant.

Educational & Subject Tours:
In order to enrich all round Knowledge of Students, educational and subject tours are conducted to the places of historical and cultural importance and subject specific areas.   

Grievance Redressal Cell:
Grievance Redressal Cell is the another committee constituted by the college for the redressal of problems of staff and students which ensures the proper administration and a better environment in the college.  

Anti-Ragging Cell:
Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted in the college in 2001 with the guidelines of Supreme Court of India. The committee is regularly working and ensuring that no student is facing the problem of Ragging.The Commitee also keep in touch with the District Administration and Police Administrators.

Auditorium & Sports:
The College Administration always keeps focus on the physical education. All the students are encouraged to take part in games and activities under the guidance of experts.

• The college has splendid playgrounds for Cricket, Hockey, Tennis, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Handball, Basketball and Badminton.
• Special Arrangements have been made for indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton & Chess in which the members of the staff as well as students can participate.
• Games are played regularly and every student is expected to play at least one game. After the completion of the admission process, college teams are announced on the basis of trials. The players in their own interest are advised to be punctual and regular in their class work.
• Extraordinary Players are considered for the award of College Colour every year. The award cannot be claimed as a matter of right but will be decided on the basis of the overall performance of the players in and outside the field.
• The college also provides a Gym to the students and the staff members.
