Established in 1945 by philanthropist Seth Kanhaiya Lal Lohia, Government Lohia College, Churu, stands as one of Rajasthan's oldest and most esteemed co-educational institutions. Affiliated with Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, the college has been recognized as a Model College and Center of Excellence by the Government of Rajasthan.

Historical Milestones

  • 1945: Founded as an intermediate college with 47 students.

  • 1949: Upgraded to a degree college with the introduction of the Commerce faculty.

  • 1954-1955: Expansion to include Arts and Science faculties at the undergraduate level.

  • 1972: Elevated to postgraduate status with M.Com programs.

  • 2006: Declared a Model College by the Government of Rajasthan.
