HPTU stands for Himachal Pradesh Technical University and was established in 2010. The university has a value of creating societal welfare in technical education training, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and continuing education programs. It is a government-run institution. HPTU Departments

HPTU Admission

HPTU admission 2024 for undergraduate and postgraduate programs is done based on the entrance test merit scores. The university administers the entrance exam. The institution also accepts the results of national-level entrance exams for admission to the university. It admits students based on their academic performance in 12th grade as well as the several common admission tests necessary for the various degrees. HPTUEligibility Criteria

HPTU admits students based on a variety of entrance examinations and merit scores. However, one must apply online using the university's official website. The following is a list of some of the courses provided by the institute, along with their qualifying requirements:

B.Tech Eligibility

• The candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board 
• Must have 55% aggregate marks in the science stream
• Valid score in HPCET

MBA Eligibility 

• The candidate should have completed bachelors degree with 55% aggregate marks
• Valid score in HPU-MAT

M.Tech Eligibility 

• The candidate must have completed bachelors in technology from a recognized university
• Must have 60% aggregate marks

Why Choose HPTU?

HPTU has several committees on its campus for student welfare and to amend the indisciplines in the university. It has various infrastructure facilities. HPTU facilities include the Anti-Ragging Cell, Sexual Harassment Cell and Students Grievance Redressal Cell. The anti-ragging cell takes action when student/ students express through words spoken or written by an act when they are affected by teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, and any undisciplined activities are taken under serious action.

HPTU Academic Advantage

HPTU has installed Anti-Ragging cells under the UGC Regulations act that can prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, has inked an MoU with the university.

• The University has inked a MoU with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, O/o Principal RTTC Rajpura 
• The university is supporting national and international conferences/seminars as part of a partial financial aid program to help associated institutions improve their academic and research quality.

HPTU Cut Off

HPTU cutoff 2025 is yet to be released. The university provides a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Students applying for admission to the institution must exceed the university's cutoff criteria and obtain valid scores on the CAT/ CMAT/ HPCET/ MAT/ HPU MAT for MBA; HPCET for B.Pharma.

HPTU Result

HPTU result 2024 has been released on the website of the college and the results can be checked only via online mode. It will be available for students to download. Candidates can look up their HPTU results by roll number or name. One month after the exam, the results are usually announced. The supplemental exam is likewise held by the university, and only eligible students are permitted to take it.

HPTU infrastructure facilities are designed to help students develop holistically. Staff and academic members can also use the university's amenities. The institution has a large central library with a wide range of resources. HPTU placement and training division has Hotel D'Polo Club & Spa Resort, Dharamshala, and the Deventure resort as members. Various companies pay visits to the college during on-campus and off-campus placements. It provides placement opportunities to students. HPTU placement cell invites summer internships for the campus where students need to do a summer internship for time being. The university invites top recruiters for campus selection. HPTU scholarships such as Kalpana Chawla Chatravriti Yojana Himachal Pradesh, PG Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students Pursuing Professional Courses, Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students, Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) are available to students at the university.
