It is an autonomous institute recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. IHM, Pusa has received awards several times for being best Institute of Hotel Management in the country for 6 times in a row by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

The Institute has the tradition of 100 percent placement of the students for many years. Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition placements happens on the campus through placement cell.

• Institute of hotel management conducts various competitions to develop the skills of the students at the international level.
• Global Skills Challenge 2013, World Skills Competition 2011, Amarnath 2014 are few of the competitions which are represented by IHM students
• Café Coffee Day, Marks & Spencer, Reliance, Jaypee Group of Hotels, The Oberoi Hotels are few of the eminent companies visiting campus and recruiting the students.

IHM Alumni:

• IHM has an alumni association which was set up in the year 2003 which is the Pusa Institute of Hotel Management Alumni Association [PIHMAA].
• Core objectives of the association include awarding the scholarship to the needy students, providing assistance and facilities for the development of the institute, to promote career guidance, interaction with the hotel industry and continuing education, etc.

Institute of Hotel Management Hostel Details:

The hostel is located within the premises of the institute with a total of 100 seats for boys and 36 seats for girls. IHM facilities include 24/7 Tea/ Coffee Dispenser, Ice Cream, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, two gymnasiums with world-class equipment, Outdoor games, etc.

• There are 28 single rooms and 24 triple bedded rooms at the Residence Boys Hostel and 12 triple bedded rooms at the Residence Girls Hostel.
• Students are also provided with one bed, a study table, a chair, a wardrobe along with a study lamp.
• Students are supposed to accompany their parents or local guardians during the hostel admission process.
•  The hostel organizes cultural events on occasions like Independence Day and Republic day.
• They also organize various inter-hostel sports tournaments like Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Pool Tournament, Chess, Carrom, and Kho Kho
