General Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions 2024

B.Tech / B.Arch

The eligibility criteria to take the admissions at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur is as follows:

• Students seeking admission to the course at IIEST Shibpur should be citizens of India.

• To qualify for the admission, the students should have to secure a minimum of 75% marks in the 12th class examination or equivalent examination or to be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.

• For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination or equivalent examination, or to be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.

General Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions 2024

B.Tech / B.Arch

The candidates can apply for IIEST Shibpur admissions 2024 through the JEE Main entrance exam. The required steps to apply for JEE-Main are:

• Candidate Registration: Fresh candidates need to be registered first. If already registered then sign in directly and fill the application form.

• Image uploading: Upload the scanned images.

• Pay the fees: Pay the entrance examination fee.

General Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions 2024

B.Tech / B.Arch

• Admissions to the 4 years B.Tech (for nine disciplines or branches) and 5 year B.Arch courses will be done through JEE-Main examination.

• For IIEST Shibpur, 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates outside West Bengal and another 50% are reserved for students from West Bengal as mentioned in the seat matrix.

• The seat will be allotted by JoSAA.

M.Tech / Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP)

• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are eligible to apply for masters at IIEST Shibpur. 

• M.Tech / M.Plan admissions at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibapur 2024 will be commenced through Centralized Counselling.

• Only the candidates who qualified GATE can register themselves at the CCMT portal.

M.Tech / Master of Urban and Regional Planning(MURP)

The candidates need to register toCCMT portal to takeadmission at IIEST, Shibpur. The procedure is as follows:

• Registration Process: Register as a new user. After registration fill the required information and lock the college.

• Seat Allotment: Allotment of the seat will be done in this step depending on the marks obtained.

• Fee Payment: Seat acceptance and payment of fees will be done in this step.

M.Tech / Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP)

• The online registration for admissions to M.Tech / M.Plan courses at IIEST, Shibpur will commence through Centralized Counselling. IIEST Shibpur MBA admissions 2024 has started. Applicants can apply till April 30.

• This registration facility will be available at the CCMT portal. The eligible GATE qualified candidates and candidates who want to register themselves at the CCMT portal to take admissions at IIEST Shibpur can visit the official website of the college.

• The candidates must be acitizen of India.

• He / She must have a valid score in JAM.

• The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and the qualifying examination should be passed with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks without rounding off.

• Admissions in M.Sc course at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur for 2024 will be done through Centralized Counseling.

To register at CCMN follow the steps mentioned below:

• Register with the basic information

• Fill up the form with the required details

• Submit the application form

• Admission at IIEST, Shibpur for M.Sc courses will be done only through Centralized Counseling for M.Sc admissions (CCMN).

• For admission through CCMN, Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is compulsory.

Eligibility conditions to take admissions at IIEST Shibpur is as follows:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate. However, cut off percentage may vary according to the academic background of the applicant.

• Details of such requirement including specific graduation level eligibility will be available in the Information Brochure from any A.I.U. recognized University.

• Candidates must have valid scores of MAT / CMAT / CAT / XAT / GMAT.

• A relaxation of 5% may be extended to the candidate who belongs to SC/ST/OBC/ PWD category.

• To take admissions at IIEST Shibpur candidates must have a valid score in either one of the entrance exam.

• The candidates can take MAT / CMAT / CAT / XAT / GMAT exams to get into IIEST Shibpur.

• The admission process at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur is based on the merit list of the candidate at any one of the MBA entrance exams like MAT / CMAT / CAT / XAT / GMAT.

• Document verification will be done by the college.
