The Indian Institute of Education (IIE) is a leading teacher training college located in Naul, Shyampur, Howrah, West Bengal. Managed by the Ankur Educational and Welfare Trust, the institute is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). IIE offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programs to prepare future educators with the skills and knowledge needed in modern classrooms.

Eligibility Criteria

D.El.Ed

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.

• A valid score in the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET) is required.

B.Ed

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities with at least 50% marks.

• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science or Mathematics with at least 55% marks is acceptable.

Application Process

D.El.Ed

• Register through the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

• Appear for WBTET.

• Participate in counseling based on scores and academic background.

B.Ed

• Apply via WBUTTEPA's official admission portal.

• Submit academic details and pay the application fee.

• Participate in merit-based counseling.
