Institute of Advanced Studies in Education was established in the year 1964. It is located in Agartala and has a campus area of 16187.4 square meters near Heritage Park. IASE has been established to be a bridge between the rural-urban divide, taking the benefits of education to the poor and the marginalized, aiming at their empowerment.

The College has signed MoUs with the Centre of Directorate of Distance Education and Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. Moreover, it caters to the needs of differently-abled students and ensures adherence to government policies in this regard. The Institute of Advanced Studies in Education Agartala Courses are only in the field of Education. The Institute is recognized by NCTE and is affiliated to Tripura University.
