Established in 1983, CSIR-IHBT is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), situated in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. Nestled in the western Himalayas, the institute is dedicated to the sustainable utilization of Himalayan bioresources, aiming to boost the bioeconomy through innovative technologies.
