JC Bose University

Established in 1969 as an Indo-German project, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has evolved into a leading public institution in Haryana. In 2009, it was conferred university status through the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 21. The university was later renamed in 2018 to honor the renowned Indian scientist, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose.

Situated on NH-2 in Sector 6, Faridabad, approximately 30 km from New Delhi, the campus is fully residential and spans across multiple blocks, including dedicated facilities for MBA and other science and technology courses. The infrastructure comprises hostels, a library (Deen Dayal Upadhyay Library), auditoriums, sports complexes, and essential services like a canteen, café, bank, and medical dispensary.

The university offers a diverse range of programs, including B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, and various M.Sc. and M.A. degrees. Its flagship B.Tech program is available in disciplines such as Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering, with specializations in Data Science and IoT .

Ranked between 151–200 in the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2024, the university boasts a robust placement record. In the 2023–24 academic year, over 475 companies participated in the placement drive, offering more than 990 internships. The highest package recorded was ₹47 lakh, with an average package of ₹6.54 lakh.

Student life at J.C. Bose University is vibrant, with numerous cultural and technical clubs such as Ananya (Literary and Debating Society), Vividha (Dramatics), Manan (Tech Society), and Mechnext (Mechatronics).
