Founded in 2018 by Reliance Foundation, Jio Institute was created with the vision of building a world-class multidisciplinary university in India. It is located in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai, spread across a lush 52-acre campus designed to provide both academic excellence and modern student life.

What sets it apart? Unlike most new private universities, Jio Institute was granted the “Institute of Eminence” status even before opening, putting it in the same category as IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore in terms of recognition.

For the 2025 academic session, Jio Institute offers postgraduate programs across specialized fields. While undergraduate courses are expected in the coming years, here’s what’s currently available:

  1. Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS)

Jio Institute Eligibility Criteria

  1. For AI & DS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.

    • Strong foundation in programming and statistics preferred.

  2. For DM & MC

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Commerce, Arts, Media, Management, etc.).

    • Demonstrated interest or background in communication, marketing, or media.

Jio Institute Fees

Fees at Jio Institute vary depending on the program. Unlike government institutions such as IITs or NITs, private institutes like Jio Institute have premium fee ranges to match their infrastructure and international tie-ups.

1. Tuition Fees

  • PGP in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science – 21,00,000 (for 2 years)

  • PGP in Digital Media & Marketing Communications – 20,00,000 (for 2 years)

  • PGP in Sports Management – 17,00,000 (for 2 years)

On average, the Jio Institute fees range from 17–21 lakh for a full program.

2. Hostel & Accommodation Fees

  • Single Occupancy Hostel Room: 2,50,000 – 3,00,000 per year

  • Double Sharing Hostel Room: 1,80,000 – 2,20,000 per year

  • Additional costs include laundry, mess charges, and utilities.

3. Other Expenses

  • Security Deposit: 50,000 (refundable)

  • Mess Fees: 60,000 – 75,000 per year (approximate)

  • Study Materials & Lab Access: 30,000 – 50,000 per year

So, if you include all living expenses, the total cost of studying at Jio Institute comes close to 20–25 lakh for two years.

Jio Institute Cut Off

Since Jio Institute is still building its first few batches, official cut-off trends are not widely available. But based on student reports and early admission cycles, here are the expected cut-offs/eligibility ranges for 2025:

1. MBA (Business Administration)

  • Eligibility: Graduate with minimum 60% marks.

  • Cut Off (Expected):

    • CAT / XAT / NMAT: 85–90 percentile.

    • GMAT: 650+ score.

    • GRE: 310+ score.

  • Other Factors: Work experience (1–2 years) preferred, but freshers can apply.

2. MSc in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science

  • Eligibility: Class 12 PCM with 70%+, or undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Math.

  • Cut Off (Expected):

    • JEE Main: 90+ percentile (if applying through engineering track).

    • GATE (for PG applicants): 550+ score.

    • For direct Class 12 applicants: 75–80% aggregate in boards.

3. MSc in Digital Media & Marketing Communications

  • Eligibility: Any stream in Class 12 (Arts, Commerce, Science).

  • Cut Off (Expected):

    • Board Exams: 75%+ aggregate.

    • CUET UG (if considered): 80 percentile+.

    • Strong SOP and creative portfolio required.

4. Sports Management

  • Eligibility: Class 12 with 60%+.

  • Cut Off (Expected):

    • Boards: 65–70% aggregate.

    • Preference to students with active sports participation.
