Established in 1946, Karimganj College is one of the oldest and most esteemed institutions in Assam, India. Situated on the banks of the Kushiara River, which demarcates the Indo-Bangladesh border, the college has been a beacon of knowledge and cultural integration for over seven decades.

Affiliation and Accreditation:

Initially affiliated with Calcutta University and later with Gauhati University, Karimganj College became part of Assam University upon its establishment in 1994. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. In 2010, it was reaccredited with a 'B' grade and a CGPA of 2.78 on a 4.0 scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
