Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, formerly Karunya University, is a private residential institute deemed to be a university in Coimbatore, India. It was founded by D. G. S. Dhinakaran and his son Paul Dhinakaran.

They offer various UG, PG, Integrated and Research courses in the field of Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Science and Technology. Admissions 2023 are open for UG, PG, and Lateral Entry courses like B.Tech, MBA, etc. During placements 2022, 873students were placed in reputed companies. Admission to B.Tech and B.Sc Agri. (Hons.) is based on the valid score in Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE).Students have to qualify the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) in order to secure admission in MBA. Preference will be given to students with a valid score in CAT/MAT. For BA, B.Sc, B.Com M.Sc, MA, admission will be done on the basis of merit.  Admission to the rest of the courses is based on merit in the last qualifying examination.

The college also offers a number of UG courses, both through regular and distant mode, under various specialization subjects for the graduate students willing to pursue higher education in the subjects. All the courses are for a period of  three to four years.

Karunya University Coimbatore UG Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for B.Tech, B.Sc and B.Com candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks in PCM subjects. For Lateral Entry, a Diploma in the concerned discipline is required.
• Karunya University offers BA  courses under its UG Program. Candidates are required to pass 10+2 levels of education with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

• For M.Sc aspirants seeking admission to 1 Year Full-Time Program must have a recognized regular Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent CGPA.
• At the PG level, the institute also offers MBA in full-time and part-time modes in 5 specializations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for admission
• For an M.Tech candidate requires a B.E. / B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks
