KCG College of Technology, formerly known as National Institute of Technology and Science is approved by the AICTE, Government of India, New Delhi, and Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The college has been certified as an ISO 9001:2015 Institution. KCG College of Technology admission 2024 offers twelve undergraduate and four post-graduate programs. Six under-graduate programs (Mech, ECE, CSE, IT, EEE & Aero) have Permanent Affiliation under Anna University. Five under-graduate programs – Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Information Technology (IT) and Mechanical Engineering – are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade. Five departments – CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering and Physics – have been approved as research centres by Anna University to offer PhD programs. KCG College of Technology offers BE/ B.Tech in various specializations based on marks in the qualifying examination followed by the TNEA counselling process. The candidates will be called for counselling according to the order of their merit. The college offers a total of 13 specializations in B.E and B.Tech combined with 10 specializations in B.E and 3 in B.Tech.

KCG College of Technology UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

KCG College of Technology offers BE/ B.Tech in various specializations based on marks in the qualifying examination followed by the TNEA counselling process. The candidates will be called for counselling according to the order of their merit. The candidates have to pay INR 5000 (INR 1000 for SC/ ST categories) as part of the counselling fee. Preference will be given to the candidates who have scored good marks in the HSC examination. Candidates of Tamil Nadu state who’ve done HSC from other states are also eligible to apply provided they have to produce a nativity certificate at the time of counselling. B.Tech and B.E courses have a fee structure of INR 3,63,000 for 4 years.

The Master of Engineering program is a (Two-year, four-semester) full-time post-graduate program leading to the M.E (Communication Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Power Electronics & Drives) degree of the Institute. 

KCG College of Technology PG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

This program imbibes in the students, the various skills and the knowledge required to grow in innovation in the various industries. Admission to ME course is provided based on the performance of the candidates in TANCET followed by counselling and document verification conducted by Anna University. Preference will be given to students with valid GATE score. TANCET is an offline entrance examination. Students have to pay INR 5300 (INR 1,150 for SC/ ST) by cash or DD. M.E degree for a tuition fee of INR 1,00,000 for 2 years.

In addition to B.Tech and M.Tech courses, KCG College of Technology offers PhD programs to pioneer the evolution of novel design and solution for a social cause. The college has been recognized as a “Scientific and Industrial Research Organization” (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. 5 Departments (CSE, ECE, EEE, MECH & PHYSICS) are recognized as Anna University Research Centres. The students are motivated to research key areas in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Physics streams.

KCG College of Technology PhD Admission - Eligibility, Admission Criteria

The college invites applications for the PhD program in August and February through the university website. Selection is done based on merit in the qualifying examination with valid GATE, NET or equivalent entrance score. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test followed by a personal interview. Candidate needs a minimum 50% marks collectively in the written test, entrance test, qualifying examination and personal interview for the final seat confirmation.

Online Mode

Filling of the application form online and getting acknowledged for registration to your email id and mobile number. The candidates have to pay INR 500. The detailed steps of the TNEA counselling procedure have been given below.

• Candidates could fill the online TNEA application form and register at first.
• They have to provide their personal and academic details while registering for TNEA. 
• They have to pay the required Registration fees through Payment Gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net banking. 
• Candidates had to download the printout of the application and get a print out to submit only at the time of certificate verification. 
• Fees payable were Rs 500 for Gen/OBC and Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ SCA.
• A random number is a number that is unique to each applicant and is generated by the system.

Offline Mode

The candidates have to pay INR 700 INR 450 (SC/ ST and OBC). After completion of the application proceedings, the students will be called for the counselling process.

For M.Tech

• Application form for TANCET can be downloaded from the official website.
• Candidates have to first get registered and then fill the form using Login ID and password obtained during registration.
• The application fee of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST) is required to be paid online.
• Candidates have to carry all of their original documents to the counselling. The list of documents is provided below.
