Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal popularly known as KITSW, was established in 1980 by Ekasila Education Society (EES), Warangal, a philanthropic society, with a primary objective of providing quality technical Education. The industry institute interaction cell of the institute has collaboration and MoU with NIT Warangal in the areas of teaching &learning, research & Development. Located on 65 acres of lush green sprawling campus, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal is one of the premier technical institutes in the Telangana state of India.

At present, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science is offering UG in ten branches of engineering, PG in seven engineering specializations, and MBA. The KU recognized the departments of CE, ME, E&I, and CSE as research centers for Ph.D. programs. All the eligible UG engineering programs have active accreditation status granted by the NBA, New Delhi. The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science has a full-fledged Training and Placement Cell and it is able to provide campus placements to our young budding engineers by inviting a good number of organizations to the Institute for placements. The cell is aiming to reach 100% placements to all the eligible students of the existing branches.
