Langat Singh College, Muzaffarpur

Langat Singh College, commonly known as L.S. College, is the oldest higher educational institution in North Bihar. Founded on July 3, 1899, by Babu Langat Singh, the college has played a pivotal role in shaping the educational, literary, social, and political landscape of Bihar.

Initially affiliated with Calcutta University in 1900, it later became a government college in 1915 and was affiliated with Patna University in 1917. Following the establishment of Bihar University in 1952, the college became part of it and is currently affiliated with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University.
