Manipal College of Health Professions was established in the year 1999. The School of Allied Health Sciences is the first institution in India exclusively dedicated to the education of allied health professionals. The institute has collaborated with Kasturba Hospital, one of the best tertiary care hospitals in southern India. The Ministry of Health, Government of India, has considered the school the model for its proposed National and Regional Institutes of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS and RIAHS). The institution offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in their college.
