Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan was established in 1960. The College is built on a 41.28 acres campus and has all the facilities expected in a modern Engineering College, the aim of educating students and preparing them to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing and complex world. In 2007 the college has earned  “ISTE Award” as one of the Best Engineering Colleges in the Country.

Boys hostel can accommodate 260 numbers at a time for having food. Hoysala, Hemavathi, and Hasanambaare the 3 blocks which accommodate nearly 600 to 650 students in 324 rooms.
