Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya was established in 1997. It is a Hindi Deemed University to promote the Hindi language among students, researchers & teachers. The university offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, Diploma, and Certificate courses like MA, M.Phil, BA, BCA,etc. The admission to Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is done through CUET-UG/CUET-PG. The admissions and counseling process for CUET-qualified students will begin soon. 

Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya began through an Act of Parliament which received the assent of the President on 8 January 1997. The purpose of the act was to establish and incorporate a teaching university for the promotion and development of Hindi language and literature, through teaching and research, to enable Hindi to achieve greater functional efficiency and recognition as a major international language.

Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya has set up different criteria for admission in different courses. The candidate must fulfill all the requirements for getting admission. Institute has very strict criteria for admission, the basic criteria for some courses are as follows

B.A Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent in 10+2 from a recognized board, and up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates.
• Candidate should have a valid score in CUET UG.

M.A Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed their bachelor’s degree studied in a 10+2+3 system in any discipline with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized University.
• Candidate should have a valid score in CUET PG. 

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should have completed B.Sc. in zoology studied in a 10+2+3 system with botany and chemistry, biochemistry as subsidiary subjects, or any subject under life sciences with zoology as a major or core subject.
• Candidate should have a valid score in CUET PG. 

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the desired field with a minimum of 55% marks for reserved category students.
