Netaji Mahavidyalaya

Netaji Mahavidyalaya, located in Arambagh, West Bengal, was established in 1948 by Dr Radha Krishna Pal. In 1960, Netaji Mahavidyalaya got affiliated with the University of Burdawan, and 2008 marked the introduction of PG courses at the institute. Netaji Mahavidyalaya offers undergraduate courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce and PG courses in Bengali. Admissions to these courses are made online and based on merit.  

Netaji Mahavidyalaya is a UGC-recognized and NAAC-approved college. Netaji Mahavidyalaya also offers distance learning courses through its two centres, IGNOU and NSOU. Netaji Mahavidyalaya Admission

Netaji Mahavidyalaya admissions 2024 will begin in July. Netaji Mahavidyalaya offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Under its distance education centres, certificate and diploma courses are also available. These include BBA, BSc, BCom, BA, and MA. Admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination and are conducted online.

BA/BA(Hons) Eligibility Criteria

• The student must have passed the higher secondary (10+2) Examination in General conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by another state board/council.
• For an honours degree, the student must have 55% marks in the relevant subject.
• OR, the student must have passed the WB Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, or The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognised by the Distant Education Bureau(DEB).

Netaji Mahavidyalaya has a separate cell for career counselling and guidance. The career counselling and guidance cell at Netaji Mahavidyalaya also prepares students to appear in the WBSSC and other state-level examinations to secure employment.The career and counselling cell encourages students to appear for various institutes such as IIT, ISI and IISC.
