NIT Raipur

Established in 1956, the National Institute of Technology Raipur (NITRR) is a premier public technical university located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Originally known as the Government College of Mining and Metallurgy, it was inaugurated by India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, in 1963. In 2005, it was designated as a National Institute of Technology and later recognized as an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act, 2007.
