About SVNIT Surat

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, was established in 1961 as Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering and Technology. In 2002, it was granted the status of a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission and renamed SVNIT. Since August 15, 2007, it has been recognised as an ‘Institute of National Importance’.
