Admission to the B.A. LL.B. program is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). For LL.M., candidates must qualify CLAT-PG. Admissions to MCLIS are conducted based on an entrance test conducted by the university. Ph.D. admissions are merit-based and include a written test and interview.

For B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)

  • Candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

  • Must qualify CLAT

For LL.M.

  • LL.B. or equivalent law degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

  • Must qualify CLAT-PG

For MCLIS

  • Graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks

  • Must qualify entrance test by NLIU

For Ph.D.

  • Master’s degree in Law or related field with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories)

  • Written test and interview conducted by NLIU
