Noida International University (NIU) – Scholarship Overview 

Noida International University offers a wide range of scholarship programs aimed at making quality higher education accessible to deserving students — based on academic merit, performance in national exams (like CUET), special categories, and for international applicants. Scholarships are generally applicable on tuition fees and help reduce financial barriers for students pursuing UG and PG courses.

CUET Scholarship

NIU awards scholarships based on CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test) scores:

From the second year onwards, merit scholarship (based on academic performance) will be considered.

Thakur Pratap Singh Memorial Scholarship

A special scholarship for meritorious students with high board exam scores, offering up to 100% tuition fee waiver in the first year.
Students must fulfill attendance and academic conduct criteria to continue and renew scholarships beyond the first year. The Thakur Pratap Singh Memorial Scholarship is a special merit-based award offered by Noida International University (NIU) to exceptionally high-achieving students seeking admission to undergraduate programs. It is designed to recognize outstanding academic performance in the 10+2 examinations .

Sports Scholarships

NIU recognises sporting achievements with tuition fee scholarships based on levels of participation and medals in Government-sponsored events:

Sports scholarships apply at admission or in the year of achievement and are subject to renewal conditions.

NIU runs targeted scholarship programs to support international students with up to 50% tuition fee waivers for specific regions:

Nepal Scholarship

• Up to 50% tuition fee waiver for students from Nepal.

• Limited number of scholarships available annually. 

East Africa Scholarship

• Offers up to 50% tuition fee waiver for students from eligible East African countries. 

Malawi Scholarship

• Assured up to 50% tuition fee waiver for qualified Malawian students.

Chairman’s Ambassador Global Scholarship

• A prestigious global scholarship initiative worth USD 13 million supporting talented and deserving international students, aligning with global education goals. 

Key Scholarship Notes

• Scholarships are applicable only on tuition fees for the first yearunless otherwise be renewed based on maintaining a minimum CGPA (typically above 7.0 or per scheme), attendance (minimum 75%), and satisfactory conduct.

• Only one scholarship from any category may be availed at the time of admission. 

• Scholarships for certain courses (e.g., diploma, PhD, and specific professional programs) may not be applicable under some schemes.

• Continuation of some scholarships beyond the first year may require meeting academic performance and attendance criteria.
