PDKV - Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth

Established on 20 October 1969, Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth is named after the son of Vidarbha Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh. The administration of the university is spread across 11 districts of Vidarbha. The main campus of PDKV is in Akola with a sub-campus located in Nagpur.

The sprawling campus of the university provides a charismatic blend of modern infrastructure and environment-friendly campus. The campus has all the adequate facilities required by the students. The faculty of the university has years of experience in their respective fields. PDKV Akola Admissions are offered for a number of courses under Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agriculture Technology and many more.

• The University awards the ICAR Merit cum Means Scholarships to the eligible students of all the constituent colleges
• Financial Assistance is provided to the students belonging to SC/ ST category and other backward classes
• Studentships and Student Aid Funds are also provided to the students

• The University has a placement cell which is the in charge of all the placement related activities
• The cell organizes written tests, personal interviews, and group discussions
