Ram Meghe Institute of Technology and Research was established in the year 1983 and has been recognized as one of the topmost Technical Institutes of Maharashtra. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and has been accredited twice by NBA, New Delhi. RMITR has also been Accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade. It offers programs in the area of Engineering, Management and Computer Application.

The institution is recognized by  Directorate of Technical Education [DTE, Mumbai], also Govt. of Maharashtra and is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. RMITR Admission are based on the past academic merit and scores in qualifying examinations.
