Rajkiya Engineering College Bijnor

Rajkiya Engineering College, Ambedkar Nagar was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2010. The college offers B.Tech Programme in three disciplines – Information Technology (IT), Electrical Engineering (EE) and Civil Engineering (CE) with the intake of 60 seats in each branch from the session 2010-11. The college was running on the campus of Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur and was shifted to its own campus at Ambedkar Nagar in August 2012.

Director of K.N.I.T Sultanpur was the Principal of Rajkiya Engineering College (R.E.C.), Ambedkar Nagar upto Jan 14, 2015. The institute is a constituent college of Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Prof K S Verma has joined as regular director ( Founder) of this Institute from Jan 15, 2015. The aim of the college is to attain the global level of excellence in scientific and technical education, fostering research, innovation, leadership qualities and entrepreneurial attitude, contributing to the advancement of society and mankind.

Rajkiya Engineering College Scholarships:

REC offers scholarships to deserving candidates. Following types of scholarships may be awarded to students.

• Merit scholarship of Rs. 3000 is awarded to 10 percent of the total number of students of each B.Tech.branch by the Uttar Pradesh Government.
• General/Other Backward Classes Scholarship of Rs.330/P. M. for day scholars and Rs.740/per month for hostellers and Institute (tuition) fee reimbursement with a condition that total Annual income from of Parents’/Guardians’ from all sources is Rs. One Lac or less than Rs.One Lac.
• SC/ST/Minorities Scholarships of Rs. 330/P. M. for day scholars and Rs.740/per month for hostellers and Institute (tuition) fee, University Fee and User’s Charges reimbursement with a condition that total Annual income of Parents’/Guardians’ from all sources is Rs. One Lac or less than Rs.One Lac.
• Maulana Mohd Ali Jauhar merit cum means scholarship of Rs. 30,000.00 per annum for Hostellers and Rs.25,000.00 for Day Scholars on a merit basis
• Financial aid is given to economically weaker students from the Student Aid Fund.

Admission to First Year:

The Entrance Examination for admission to the first year of four year B.Tech degree programme offered by Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow as per Govt. Order dated 03.12.2003 and will be known as State Entrance Examination, Uttar Pradesh Technical University(SEE-UPTU). 5% additional seats of all branches in the first year are from the fee waiver scheme of AKTU.

Direct Admission to Second Year:

The eligible candidates seeking direct admission to the second year of B.Tech.in the institution are required to submit online application forms at UPSEE website by the last date. Such lateral entry for diploma holders will be allowed in the second year third semester level. Seats in addition to the sanctioned intake at the first-year level are limited to a maximum of 10% and will be reserved for such candidates.

The first-year students while coming to the college for registration are required to bring the following documents with them in a file cover in the same order as mentioned below:
