Selvam College of Technology (SCT), established in 2006 and affiliated with Anna University, is an autonomous, AICTE- and NAAC-accredited institution located on 14 acres in Namakkal. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, and MCA programmes and has grown to support around 1,300 students and over 100 faculty members. The college emphasizes industry-aligned learning, research, innovation, and career readiness through regular training, guest lectures, and a strong alumni network.

Academics 

Curriculum includes Anna University’s CBCS framework, focusing on theory, labs, industrial projects, internships, and soft‑skills development.

Admission Process & Cut‑Offs 2025

UG admission through TNEA counselling based on 10+2 PCM scores (general cut-off around 50%). PG programmes require TANCET/GATE followed by counselling. MBA and MCA admission depends on TANCET ranks, generally below 5,000 for MBA and around 4,000 for MCA. Lateral entry via TNEA for diploma holders enables direct admission to second-year B.E.

Placement & Career Support

SCT’s placement cell offers training in interviews, resume building, and aptitude tests. In the latest placement cycle:

• Highest package recorded at ₹7.2 LPA

• Average package ₹3.8 LPA, median ₹3.4 LPA

• Around 96% B.Tech placement rate in recent years

• Around 58 UG and PG students placed, with ~20 recruiters including core and IT firms
