Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech (ME) Program

To be eligible for the B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering program at Sharda University, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualifications:

    • Matriculation (Class 10th) with at least 60% marks.
    • Senior Secondary (10+2) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
    • Minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for students opting for non-biotech branches.
    • There should be no gap between the 10th and 12th standard.
  2. Entrance Exam:

    • Candidates must clear the Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT), an online test that evaluates the candidate's academic skills and aptitude.
    • Personal Interview (PI) follows the SUAT to further assess the candidate’s readiness for the program.
    • Alternatively, candidates can also apply based on their performance in the JEE-Mains examination. The All India Rank (AIR) should be within the top 3 Lakh for direct entry into the program.
  3. Bridge Course Option:

    • bridge course is available for students from a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) background who wish to opt for a non-biotech engineering branch. The bridge course ensures that students are equipped with the necessary knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to succeed in their B.Tech course.
