Established in 1913, Sir J.J. College of Architecture is Asia's first architecture school, located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The college traces its origins to 1896 when a Draftsman's Class was initiated at the Sir J.J. School of Art. In 1913, the course was reorganized to focus on architectural training, leading to the establishment of the college. In 1952, it became affiliated with the University of Bombay, marking a significant milestone in its evolution.
