Udai Pratap College is an autonomous college situated in the North-Western part of  Varanasi which is the holy city of India. The college has a sprawling campus that is spread over 100 acres of lush green fertile land with a beautiful academic atmosphere. The institution is one of the most popular higher education centers in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. The foundation of the college was laid in the year 1909 and it was known as  Hewett Kshatriya High School in the beginning and then it was raised as an intermediate college in 1921. 

When the institution started commencing Undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce, UP College was elevated to the level of a degree college in the year 1949. And later the institution begins offering science classes in the year 1950 and it was followed by the inception of Agriculture and B Ed in the years 1963 and 1972.

The institution provides the best facilities for students that suits for a good learning environment. UP College Admission is available for UG and PG Courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Diploma and many career-oriented programs.

UP College Facilities:

Udai Pratap College has many attracting facilities for students on the campus. The central library of the College is fully computerized and it includes  100800 books, 45 periodicals, and has a Xerox facility. The institution has a Health Centre for both students and staff, which is a 10-bed hospital. The health care Centre is monitored by the service of a Resident Doctor with 5 nursing staff. 

The institution has a swimming pool and facilities for sports and games like football, hockey, basketball, volleyball,  hockey, wrestling, Long-jump, High-jump, Shot-put, and others. Some of the students from the institution have represented University and national levels in sports. UP College has  Gymnasium and has a space for students who do Gymnastic. Some of the alumni of the college have been Olympians, Arjun awardee and Laxman awardee and it is a prestigious honor for the institute.

The institution has a hall which is called Sandhya hall where students pray in the evening. The college has 50 acres of an agricultural farm which includes a dairy farm, poultry farm, and a fish pond.  UP College has an active NSS and NCC units where boys and girls actively participate in various activities conducted by the units. The institution has a post office and a branch of Allahabad Bank on its campus.  There is a guest house facility on the campus and the college provides hostel facility for students. UP college has a Co-Operative society on the campus.

Many activities were conducted in the institution every year for the students. Due to the excellent history of remarkable contribution to sports, the institution conducts various sports activities including athletics in the college, as a result, many students on the campus get opportunities to compete in college-level and national levels. The NSS and NCC units conduct various programs including camps and many welfare programs inside and outside the campus. The institution also conducts seminars for the students on different topics.

UP College Admissions:

Admission for the first year of the U.G. level [ B.Sc., B.Sc. [Ag], B.Com., B.A.]and PG level courses [M.Sc, M.Sc.[Ag], M.Com, M.A.] programs will be based on the entrance test conducted by the institution. The admission process begins in the second week of the month of April every year. Admission is done on the strictly based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination conducted by the UP college.
