UPUMS, or Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, is a public medical university in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh. The university was established in 2016 and offers undergraduate and postgraduate medical, pharmacy, dental and nursing sciences courses. Admission to these courses is based on NEET-UG, NEET-PG, UPCPMT, and CPNET.

UPUMS is an MCI-recognised and NAAC-accrediteduniversity. The university was started to provide quality higher education in the area. The total intake capacity for MBBS, MD and MCh courses is 292 seats.

UPUMS Departments

UPUMS has five faculties, namely Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical Sciences and Dentistry. Under these faculties, there are 51 departmentsthat offer and conduct various courses and specialisations. There are 34 departments under Medical Sciences, 6 under Nursing, and9under Paramedical Sciences. Some of these are.

UPUMS Admission

UPUMS admissions 2024 begin around July. UPUMS offers admission to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical Sciences and Dentistry. These include MBBS, BPT, BSc Nursing, MD, MS, MDS, MCh and Diploma. Admissions to these courses are based on entrance exams such as NEET-UG, NEET-PG, UPCET/UPSEE scores or Entrance Exams conducted by the university.

The Diploma course is offered in Paramedical and Nursing courses. There are two nursing courses, General Nursing and Midwifery and Health Worker and 11 Paramedical courses, including Emergency & Trauma Care, Dialysis Technician, Physiotherapy, Cardiology Technician and MRI Technician.

Before applying to courses at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, the students must meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the college.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• The students must have passed 10+2 with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE /CBSE /ICSE /SSCE /HSCE or other equivalent Board.
• or Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
• The students must appear for the NEET-UG examination.

BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

• The students must have passed 10+2 with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE /CBSE /ICSE /SSCE /HSCE or other equivalent Board.
• or tudents appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
• The students must appear for the NEET-UG examination

MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

• The students must have passed MBBS from an MCI-recognised institution.
• The students must appear for the NEET-PG examination.
