Before applying for the MICAT Exam 2026, candidates must carefully understand and meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA). The eligibility conditions ensure that applicants possess the required academic background and qualifying exam scores to pursue the PGDM-C (Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications) program.

Academic Qualification for MICAT 2026

To be eligible for MICAT 2026, a candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration from a recognized university or institution.

Key Academic Requirements:

  • The degree must follow the 10+2+3 or equivalent education pattern

  • The university or institution must be recognized by a statutory authority

  • Candidates from all academic disciplines are eligible, including:

    • Engineering

    • Commerce

    • Arts and Humanities

    • Science

There is no minimum percentage requirement specified in graduation for applying to MICAT, unless announced otherwise by the institute.

Eligibility for Final-Year Graduation Students

Candidates who are currently in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or awaiting final results are also eligible to apply for MICAT 2026.

Important Conditions for Final-Year Students:

  • The candidate must have completed all academic requirements except the final examination or result

  • Proof of graduation completion must be submitted within the timeline specified by MICA during admission

  • Admission will remain provisional until submission of final mark sheets and degree certificate

If a candidate fails to provide the required documents within the given deadline, their admission may be cancelled.

Mandatory Qualifying Exam Requirement (CAT / XAT / GMAT)

In addition to academic qualification, candidates must have a valid score in at least one national-level management entrance exam.

Accepted Entrance Exams for MICAT 2026:

  • CAT 2025

  • XAT 2026

  • GMAT (exam taken from 2023 onwards)

This requirement is mandatory. Candidates cannot appear for MICAT without a valid CAT, XAT, or GMAT score.
