Rajasthan PTET 2026 is the Pre-Teacher Education Test conducted for admission to B.Ed and integrated B.Ed programmes offered by universities such as Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota. Fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria is essential for candidates who wish to appear for this competitive examination aimed at aspiring teachers in Rajasthan.

PTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications

For the 2-year B.Ed Program

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.

  • Applicants from reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC are eligible for a relaxation to 45% marks as per NCTE norms.

For the 4-year Integrated B.Ed Program

  • Applicants must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, or any recognized equivalent board.

  • A minimum of 50% marks is required, while candidates from reserved categories are eligible for 45% marks.

  • Final-year students of the qualifying examination may apply provisionally but must submit proof of completion at the time of counseling.

PTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Age Criteria

  • The minimum age requirement for the 2-year B.Ed course is 21 years.

  • There is no upper age limit for the 2-year B.Ed program.

  • Age requirements for the 4-year integrated program vary slightly.

PTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality and Domicile

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates with Rajasthan domicile are given preference under state reservation policies.

  • Non-domicile applicants have access to a limited number of seats outside reserved categories.

PTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Reservation Policy

  • Rajasthan PTET reserves 16 percent seats for SC candidates

  • 12 percent seats are allocated to ST candidates

  • OBC candidates from the non creamy layer receive 21 percent reservation

  • 5 percent seats are reserved for MBC candidates

  • Economically Weaker Section candidates get 10 percent reservation

  • Physically challenged candidates are provided 5 percent reservation

  • Wards of ex servicemen are allotted 5 percent reservation

  • Additional reservation includes 8 percent for widows of Rajasthan domicile

  • 2 percent seats are reserved for divorced women belonging to Rajasthan domicile

PTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Physical Fitness

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit at the time of admission

  • Fitness is verified during counseling through valid medical certificates

  • Physically challenged candidates can claim 5 percent reservation

  • A minimum of 40 percent disability is required as per government norms.
