Asutosh College

Asutosh College, founded in 1916, is a pioneering educational institution in West Bengal. South Suburban College was the previous name of the college. The college in Kolkata is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The institute has received an 'A' grade from National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), with a CGPA of 3.22. It is also approved by the UGC and AICTE. The campus is around 12 acres in size. The college has 28 departments that offer diploma, certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Asutosh College has been accredited with an ‘A‘ grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council(NAAC) in 2002, securing a CGPA score of 3.22 out of 4. It is the 1st college in the state which was accredited by NAAC in 2002. The college was awarded the Mother Teresa International Award for outstanding achievement and contribution in the field of education in 2012.
