DGCA-Approved AME Programs

BIA is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, to conduct Aircraft Maintenance Engineering courses in the following categories:

• Category A1: Aeroplane Turbine (Line Maintenance) – 2 years

• Category B1.1: Aeroplane Turbine (Major Maintenance) – 4 years

• Category B2: Avionics – 4 years

These programs follow International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, offering a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Admission and Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria:

• Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

• Minimum age of 16 years

• Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Aeronautical Engineering are also eligible

Admission Process

Candidates can apply directly or through the AME Common Entrance Test (AME CET). Admission is merit-based and depends on academic performance and entrance ranking.

Fee Structure

The total fee for the AME program is approximately ₹6.51 lakhs, which includes tuition, practical training, and other academic resources. BIA also offers merit-based scholarships, including options for up to 100% tuition fee waivers.
