Established in 2002, it is an autonomous, private engineering college affiliated with VTU and approved by AICTE & NBA.

BMSIT is accredited by NAAC (Grade A), NBA, and is AICTE-approved. It’s affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Admissions for B.E. are based on KCET or COMEDK-UGET ranks; M.Tech, MBA & MCA via Karnataka PGCET or GATE.

Annual B.E. fees range between ₹1.5 L (management quota) to ₹6.5 L; total program costs fall between ₹6 L–₹26 L.

For the general category (2022 KCET): CSE – rank ~4,191; AI & ML – ~9,162; ECE – ~11,500. COMEDK ranks vary similarly.
