Established on February 2, 1970, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) is a public agricultural university located in Hisar, Haryana, India. It is the largest agricultural university in Asia, covering approximately 7,219 acres in its main campus and 1,426 acres at outstations .

The university was initially a satellite campus of Punjab Agricultural University and was later established as an independent entity by the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act. In 1991, it was renamed to honor India's fifth Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh.
