Darrang College, established in July 1945 by the people of Tezpur, is one of Assam's oldest and most respected educational institutions. Affiliated with Gauhati University, the college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce.

Accreditation

The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a B+ grade (CGPA 2.68) in its third cycle, valid from March 27, 2019, to March 28, 2024.

Women's Studies Cell:

Engages in research on women's issues and provides psychological counseling in collaboration with the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Mental Health Hospital.

Centre for Environmental Studies:

Conducts environmental education classes, seminars, and awareness programs

Centre for Conservation Studies:

A joint venture with WWF India, focusing on conservation education and research.

Vocational Study Centre:

Offers short-term courses in various trades, including electronics maintenance, computer hardware, and tea husbandry.
