DMI - Development Management Institute

The Development Management Institute (DMI), located in Patna, Bihar, is a premier educational institution established in 2014 with the active support of the Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar. Modeled after the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), DMI aims to develop professionals equipped to manage and lead development initiatives effectively.

Academic Programs

DMI offers a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Development Management, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The program integrates classroom instruction with experiential learning, focusing on participatory governance, resource management, and sustainable development practices.

Admission Process

Admission to the PGDM program is based on scores from the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by group discussions and personal interviews. The selection process assesses candidates' aptitude for development management and their commitment to contributing to societal progress.

Campus and Infrastructure

DMI's urban campus in Patna is designed to foster an environment conducive to learning and innovation. The institute is developing a 15-acre campus in Bihta to further enhance its infrastructure and provide state-of-the-art facilities for students and faculty.

Collaborations and Partnerships

DMI collaborates with various organizations, including the Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society and the Bihar State Milk Co-Operative Federation, to provide students with practical exposure to development projects. These partnerships enrich the learning experience and facilitate real-world application of management principles.
