Goa College of Art, established in 1972 in Panaji, Goa, is the state's premier institution dedicated to fine arts education. Application Timeline:
Admissions for the First Year Foundation commence in June 2025. Notifications will be published in local newspapers.

Application Process:

• Mode: Online and Offline

• Application Fee: ₹200 (payable via cash or demand draft)

• Selection Criteria:

  • Performance in 10+2 examination (50% weightage)

  • Aptitude Test conducted by the college (50% weightage)

Aptitude Test Components:

• Drawing in pencil and color

• Memory Drawing

• General Knowledge of the Arts (written)

Interview & Portfolio Review:
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personal interview and portfolio assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent with English as a subject.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General Category: 50%

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): 45%

• Nationality: Indian Citizens, NRIs (for reserved seats), Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (as per GOI nomination)

• Age Limit: No age restrictions

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) – 4 Years

Specializations:

• Applied Art: Focuses on Communication Design, Advertising, Photography, Audio-Visual Media, and Illustration.

• Painting: Emphasizes Drawing, Mural Design, Portraiture, Printmaking, and Art History.

Course Structure:

• Year 1: Foundation Course (common to both specializations)

• Years 2-4: Specialization in chosen stream
