Goa College of Pharmacy Overview

Goa College of Pharmacy (GCP), established in 1963, is a premier government institution located in Panaji, Goa. It is affiliated with Goa University and approved by both AICTE and PCI. Known for its academic excellence, the college offers Diploma, Bachelor (B.Pharm), Master (M.Pharm), and Ph.D. programs in pharmacy.

Academics and Infrastructure

GCP is equipped with 19 well-maintained laboratories across departments such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. It also features a well-stocked library with access to national and international journals, a medicinal plant garden, an animal house, and separate hostels for boys and girls, located within close proximity to the campus.

Placement and Career Opportunities

The Placement Cell, led by Dr. Rajashree S. Gude, actively supports students with training sessions, resume-building workshops, and interview preparation. In the academic year 2021-22, 24 B.Pharm students and 31 M.Pharm students secured placements. The median salary package offered was around INR 2.40 LPA for B.Pharm and INR 2.20 LPA for M.Pharm graduates.
